Day 1 - Marrakech to Imlil Refuge
Start the hike from Imlil 1741m passing over Achain village, it is famous for its refugee villages (Casbah de Toubkal). It was built by an English man and a local villager.
Take a path that goes to Armed village. It is the biggest village in Imlil valley.
Cross a wide river to the left as well as start climbing the mountain to Chamharouch. 2310m). Stop at a place for lunch and break. Turn to the right and take the path to Dodmert. Here the oxygen becomes less dense because you have reached 3000m. Reach the refuge de Toubkal, 3207m. Spend the first night here to take a rest and prepare for the second day.
Day 2 : Hike to Summit
Wake up early at five o'clock, to have breakfast and be ready to move at 5h30m to climb the highest peak in North Africa. It will take more than three and a half hours to be at the top.
Make your way back which will take about 4 hours to reach the refuge to have lunch. Rest a bit and prepare to come back to Imlil taking the same route.
