8-Day Sahara Expedition from Marrakech: Erg Chigaga,

                                     Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Leave Marrakech in the morning, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass with panoramic mountain views. Visit the Kasbah of Telouet if time permits. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou for lunch and a guided visit of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight in a riad or hotel.

                                         Day 2: Ouarzazate to M’hamid

After breakfast, drive through the Draa Valley, stopping to explore kasbahs and palm groves along the way. Lunch in Zagora. Continue through Tamegroute, famous for its green pottery and old Quranic library. Arrive in M’hamid, the gateway to the desert, for dinner and overnight in a guesthouse.

                                                 Day 3: M’hamid to Erg Lihoudi

After breakfast, meet your camel team and begin trekking into the desert. Walk through the rocky Hamada and low dunes, enjoying the peaceful desert silence. Stop for a picnic lunch under tamarisk trees. Arrive at Erg Lihoudi dunes for sunset, dinner, and overnight in tents under the stars.

                                           Day 4: Erg Lihoudi to Erg Bougarn

Breakfast in camp before setting off on a day of true desert adventure. Trek deeper into remote desert landscapes, crossing wide sandy plains and isolated dunes. Stop for a picnic lunch along the route. Reach Erg Bougarn in the late afternoon to set up camp and admire the untouched beauty. Dinner and overnight in the desert camp.

                                          Day 5: Erg Bougarn to Erg Lghoul

Enjoy breakfast at sunrise before beginning your trek toward Erg Lghoul, an area known for its beautiful, high dunes and rugged wilderness. Picnic lunch along the way beneath sparse desert trees. Arrive at Erg Lghoul for sunset, set up camp, and enjoy dinner and overnight in tents.

                                                    Day 6: Erg Lghoul to Erg Zhar

After breakfast, continue the journey toward Erg Zhar, celebrated for its striking, towering dunes. Trek across rolling sands and dry riverbeds, pausing for a shaded lunch. Reach Erg Zhar in the afternoon to explore the dunes at golden hour. Dinner and overnight in your camp.

                                                     Day 7: Erg Zhar to Erg Chigaga

Wake early for sunrise views and breakfast. Begin your final trekking stage toward the majestic dunes of Erg Chigaga. Hike through sweeping sand seas and remote desert plateaus, stopping for a picnic lunch. Arrive at Erg Chigaga’s grand dunes by sunset. Enjoy dinner, music, and overnight in a well-equipped desert camp.

                                                  Day 8: Erg Chigaga to Marrakech

After breakfast in camp, travel by 4×4 across the wild terrain of Lake Iriki toward Foum Zguid. Break for tea and continue through Taznakht for lunch, famous for Berber carpets.
